Palos Heights Cruise Night
A Little Rain and a Lot of Shine

For just one night per year, Harlem Avenue in Palos Heights becomes the destination for car enthusiasts from all over. Always held the third Thursday in July; the 2017 event was not an evening to miss. July 20 may have begun with rain, but the night was not gloomy!

Car guru Jimmy Alleruzzo hosts this production that tours both the east and west side of Harlem Avenue. People come from all over, including Arizona, just to attend this event. In addition to the cars, various venues offer distractions in the form of food and drink. This evening also provides a great opportunity for businesses to attract new customers and show what they have to offer.

Alleruzzo talks to owners of cars from throughout the decades. Jeff Sankey speaks about his Dodge Coronet while cruise night organizer Bob Starzyk has several Pace Cars from throughout the years of INDY on display. Other collectors share their personal stories behind each of their vehicles throughout the evening before the ACV crew tries out a new food spot in town, Highlander House Restaurant & Bar (Goralsko Chata).

From cars to food, the Palos Heights Cruise Night offers a little bit of everything for everyone. takes pride in covering car events throughout the Chicago area, including cruise nights, car shows, World of Wheels, NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Drag Racing, and NHRA Route 66 Nationals.
