Elim Dutch Festival
Celebrating 22 Years

Elim Christian Services is located in Palos Heights, Illinois. Their website at Elimcs.org describes Elim as "a multi-faceted organization, providing educational, therapeutic, vocational, and recreational services to those we serve. Additionally, Elim serves as a resource on disability and special education programming for families and educators, both in this country and beyond."

One of the many events Elim holds is Dutch Festival. 2017 marked their 22nd Annual Festival, and also the first time that AC Variety attended.

Dutch Festival attracts people from all over the Midwest. This one-of-a-kind event features a variety of activities including a pancake breakfast, petting zoo & reptile show, a parade, and much more! The event is free, and features shuttle busses to bring in all the visitors throughout the day.

AC Variety's coverage begins with the parade and opening ceremony. The ceremony features a number of dignitaries. After the ceremony, Jimmy Alleruzzo hosts the production which covers the day's events. From learning about the history of the Dutch Organ, to meeting volunteers that share their own personal Dutch Festival history, to viewing all the games offered for the children; the day is filled with fun!

If you never attended Dutch Festival before, mark your calendars for September 22, 2018! Elim Christian Services is located at 13020 South Central Avenue in Palos Heights Illinois, 60463. Elim can be reached at 708-389-0555.
